A painted snail (tutorial)

Today we enjoyed making these super cute snails. Our garden is bursting with snails, everywhere Mare discovers them. She loves them and are a big part of her fantasyplay aswell. A small pebble quickly turns into a snail once it is on her hand.
That is why we had to bring them into our house.
You don't need much;
some paper plates
paint
coloured paper
And ofcourse a smile.
Decorate the plates as you like them.
Cut a body from the coloured paper and staple them together.
Look at these happy crawlers at our windowsill.
Hope you like them, they make Mare and me very happy!

Tray - table

Today Mare and me decorated a traytable.
Very carefully Mare thought about every brush-stroke and placed just as carefully every glittery star.

This is how the top looks. The pictures are old pictures one used to stick in a poem-album.
And this is howI imagine it on the bed of my pragnent friend. Only then the cups will be filled with hot steamy tea.
At the moment I am only making presents all the time. Like this.... are you curious what it will be???

Scarf

For his birthday a friend of ours asked for a handknitted scarf. Ofcaurse I said yes.
But I never realised how much and boring work it was. 2 Meters of "knit 2 - purl 2"

but now it is finished I absolutely love it.
Love the yarn too. It is 50% bamboo and 50% wool.
The bamboo makes it shine so nicely!

The start to a new blog

After 2 and a half years having a blog about our family I really wanted to make a blog about all the tings I make. At the moment there are 4 projects hanging on my knitting needles, 2 felt-dolls half made and a million ideas in my head.
With that come all the nice things I like to make with Mare and my class.
I would love to share those things with you all!
Maybe make some tutorials for the things I make.
Soon some pic's of the knittings.
for now the knitting I finished right before summer hollidays. (with a little crochet help from my mum.)
The gnome family :)
