Felt fo's

Not just the knittings layed there waiting to be fotographed, also my felt dolls. I have been making saint Nicholas dolls, because that is about the biggest childrens celebration in Holland. One could compare it to the american way of celebrating Christmas more info
These are the traditional chocolate letters, along with the saint and his helper on top, and the bag for the presents and the traditional cookies called "pepper-nuts".

Here are the two main characters sitting amongst the pepper-nuts.
And these are little finger dolls.

knitting fo's

It was so long since I updated my blog, so sorry for this.... I just make so many things, and when I finish I start right away with a new project. So today i took the time for making pictures of all my knittings.
To start with my baktus. It is not a normal baktus, wich is a great patern! But I made a baktus with dropstitches. The patern was in german, but very easy to understand.
I think it makes it a bit more airy! The yarn is 100% wool by kauni.

And I made potholders. I thought it was the most boring project one could think of, but i loved it, and every time I take them from their pinn I enjoy the fact that I made them myself. I made up the patern by deviding the stitches in knit and purl.
I made 4 two of each

At the moment I am knitting for India.
A lovely project that asks us to make little hats for the new born. The first was the white one and almost everything was wrong with it. The colour, the size and the materials. So i keep thgis for a present. Now I read the instructions better and started a red one, with amazing merino yarn. To bad you can't feel it through the screen.
